Prior to joining the team, Cook served as a television anchor and reporter at stations in Minnesota, Vermont, Illinois and Wisconsin. In those positions, Cook covered topics ranging from local impacts of the Iraq War and school system issues, to government and law enforcement. Cook received the Vermont Associated Press investigative award in 2003 for an online predator series, and won an Edward R. Murrow Award for continuing team coverage of a breaking news story in 2006. Cook has also been recognized for her reporting on victims of domestic violence. She also has experience in radio sales and public relations activities for a homebuilder.
